The Common Sense
Parenting program consists of six weekly sessions conducted by Phil
Chapman, an experienced Licensed Specialist in School Psychology and counselor.
Mr.
Chapman utilizes short lectures, small groups, role plays and multimedia to
present
interesting and stimulating learning opportunities. You will learn to:

Build a close relationship with your child

Reduce problem behaviors by teaching your
child appropriate ways of behaving

Give clear messages
|

Stay calm
|
 |
Teach your child self-control
|
 |
Praise effectively
|
 |
Consistent expectations and consequences for
your child

Correct your child’s behavior after it occurs

Prevent misbehavior in the future

Avoid and disengage from power struggles

Interface with the school and improve study
habits
